Huaneng Power International (HK:0902) has released an update.
Huaneng Power International has entered into a Capital Increase Agreement for Shidaowan Nuclear, subscribing an additional RMB209.925 million to maintain its 22.5% stake after the capital raise to RMB6,243 million. The deal is considered a connected transaction, subject to disclosure but exempt from independent shareholder approval as per Hong Kong Listing Rules. This move strengthens Huaneng’s position in China’s vast power generation market, where it is already one of the largest listed power producers.
