HSBC Progresses With Multibillion Share Buy-Back

HSBC Holdings (GB:HSBA) has released an update.

HSBC Holdings PLC has continued its share buy-back program, purchasing millions of shares for cancellation on both the UK and Hong Kong stock exchanges, with a total spend of approximately $2.4 billion since the program’s announcement. The company has cancelled over 31 million shares previously bought on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, which will adjust the total number of ordinary shares with voting rights to 18,224,571,239. This action is part of an ongoing effort to manage share capital effectively and provide value to shareholders.
