HSBC Holdings (GB:HSBA) has released an update.
HSBC Holdings PLC has continued its stock buy-back program by acquiring and cancelling over 4.2 million shares on UK venues and over 3.2 million shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on July 3, 2024. The buy-back, which started on May 7, 2024, has seen the bank repurchase 272.8 million shares at a total cost of nearly US$2.39 billion, impacting the company’s total issued share capital and voting rights. Shareholders will be able to use the updated number of issued ordinary shares to assess changes in their stake in the company.
