HSBC Completes Share Buy-Back Transaction

HSBC Holdings (GB:HSBA) has released an update.

HSBC Holdings plc has announced the repurchase and cancellation of 3,001,200 of its ordinary shares from Morgan Stanley, with the buy-back being part of a larger plan announced earlier on 7 May 2024. The transaction took place on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange with a volume weighted average price of HK$67.8662 per share, contributing to a total of 328,121,599 shares bought back by the company to date. This share buy-back is part of HSBC’s ongoing efforts to manage its share capital, and following the repurchase, the total number of voting rights in HSBC is 18,518,135,661 ordinary shares.
