Horisont Energi Evaluates New CO2 Storage for Ammonia Plant

Horisont Energi AS (DE:9GJ) has released an update.

Horisont Energi is exploring alternative CO2 storage solutions in the North Sea for its Barents Blue clean ammonia project, which could lower development costs and risks. The Barents Blue project, in partnership with Fertiberia, aims to be the most energy-efficient plant of its kind and has secured a significant EU grant, targeting production by 2029/2030. These developments could enhance the project’s commercial viability despite higher operating expenses due to transportation.
