Horisont Energi has achieved a significant milestone for its Barents Blue project by signing a non-binding term sheet for gas supply from the Snøhvit LNG facility. This agreement is crucial for reaching the concept selection milestone and securing the gas supply needed for producing 1 million tons of clean ammonia annually. The Barents Blue project, developed in collaboration with Fertiberia, is set to be the world’s most energy-efficient clean ammonia plant, supported by an EU grant and aiming for an investment decision by 2026, with production expected by 2029/2030.
