Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd. has announced the sale of patents and know-how to its affiliate Sharp Corporation for USD 24 million, effective July 19, 2024. The transaction was decided through price negotiation, based on an appraisal report and the opinion of qualified professionals, and was approved by the company’s board of directors. The sale aims to improve asset utilization and convert research and development achievements into tangible benefits.
