Hochschild Mining Activates Brazilian Gold Mine

Hochschild Mining (GB:HOC) has released an update.

Hochschild Mining PLC has announced the commencement of commercial production at its new Mara Rosa gold mine in Brazil as of May 13, 2024, with the mine expected to produce between 83,000 to 93,000 ounces of gold this year. The mine’s processing plant is operating near full capacity and is part of Hochschild’s strategic growth in Brazil, focusing on low-cost production and potential expansion through ongoing brownfield exploration and the prospective acquisition of Cerrado Gold’s Monte Do Carmo project. CEO Eduardo Landin has hailed this achievement as a milestone that positions the company for further growth in the country.
