HDFC Bank Faces Taxation Penalty and Appeals

Hdfc Bank (HDB) has released an update.

HDFC Bank has been fined Rs. 1.07 crore by the Additional Commissioner – Customs & Central Tax, Telangana for alleged tax discrepancies during the financial year 2017-18. The bank faces accusations of short payment of tax and disallowance of input tax credit, with a total impact of Rs. 2.18 crore on its finances. HDFC Bank is currently considering legal options, including the possibility of an appeal.
