HDFC Bank Faces Penalties for Tax Violations

Hdfc Bank (HDB) has released an update.

HDFC Bank has been slapped with penalties totaling Rs. 0.162 crore by various tax authorities for alleged tax violations during the fiscal year 2018-19. The fines were imposed by GST and state tax officers in Delhi, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana for issues such as short payment of tax and incorrect input tax credit claims. The bank is currently contemplating legal actions to contest these penalties.
