Hastings Technology Metals Limited has announced a significant cost reduction for their Yangibana Rare Earths Project, with total capital expenditure now estimated at $474 million, a decrease from the previous $503 million forecast. The update follows thorough internal and independent reviews, which confirmed adherence to industry standards and identified $30 million in direct savings and an additional $26 million in operational efficiencies. With 32% of the capital costs already incurred, the project’s risk is substantially reduced due to the completion of early works and detailed engineering.
