Gold Fields Expands with Windfall Project Acquisition

Gold Fields Limited has announced a definitive agreement to acquire Osisko Mining Inc., gaining full control of the Windfall Project in Canada, which is expected to become a low-cost, high-quality gold mine with significant growth potential. The acquisition, valued at approximately C$2.16 billion, aligns with Gold Fields’ strategy to enhance their mining portfolio and strengthen their commitment to ESG principles by tapping into Windfall’s prospective exploration opportunities and leveraging hydroelectric power for reduced emissions.
