Golar LNG Launches 20-Year FLNG Project in Argentina

Golar LNG (GLNG) has released an update.

Golar LNG has inked a 20-year agreement to deploy a Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) unit in Argentina, aiming to export LNG by 2027 and turn Argentina into an LNG exporter using the vast Vaca Muerta shale gas resources. The deal, which includes a 10% stake for Golar in a joint venture with Pan American Energy, could mark the first phase of a multi-vessel project. Golar’s CEO Karl Fredrik Staubo expresses enthusiasm for the venture, highlighting the value it will bring to Argentina’s gas stakeholders and Golar’s growth.
