Global Net Lease Appoints Edward Weil as Sole CEO

Global Net Lease (GNL) has issued an update.

James L. Nelson stepped down as the President and Co-CEO of Global Net Lease, Inc., paving the way for Edward M. Weil, Jr. to become the sole CEO and subsequently the President. Weil, with a detailed professional background available in a previous SEC filing, brings in his experience as the former CEO and President of The Necessity Retail REIT, Inc., entities which merged with Global Net Lease, Inc. in recent transactions involving stock issuance and cash payments to AR Global, a firm where Weil is a member. This consolidation has positioned Bellevue, the parent company of AR Global, as a major shareholder, while Weil has not negotiated additional compensation for his new role.
