Glencore (GB:GLEN) has released an update.
Glencore has obtained the final regulatory approval required from the Canadian government to acquire a 77% interest in Elk Valley Resources from Teck Resources. The deal, which enhances Glencore’s standing as a major diversified miner in Canada, is set to close on July 11, 2024. The acquisition is expected to bolster Glencore’s portfolio quality and significantly contribute to its cashflows.
