Geomega Resources Inc. has announced a significant design shift for its rare earths recycling demonstration plant, transitioning from a batch process to a continuous operation to meet municipal requirements and maintain their planned capacity. The engineering change is expected to simplify the plant’s control system, improve product quality, and reduce both operating and capital costs. Despite potential risks such as engineering modifications and procurement adjustments, Geomega’s team is confident that the new design will keep the project on track for its targeted market of NdFeB magnet swarf recycling.
