Genmin Limited has appointed Mr. Andrew Taplin as the new Chief Executive Officer, bringing over 30 years of mining experience, including significant roles at Rio Tinto. Mr. Taplin’s immediate focus will be on market engagement and securing project financing for the Baniaka project. His expertise in West African operations and fluency in French are expected to strengthen Genmin’s position as it aims to develop Baniaka into a major iron ore hub. The interim management committee led by Board Chair Greg Lilleyman has been dissolved, granting Mr. Taplin full operational control.
