Gemfields Group ( (PLLHF) ) just unveiled an update.
Gemfields announced the successful results of a mini-auction held in February 2025 for higher-quality emeralds that were unsold from a previous auction in November 2024. The auction generated $4.8 million in revenue, with 10 out of 13 lots sold, indicating improved demand and pricing despite a subdued market sentiment. The emeralds, mined by Kagem, are to have their proceeds fully repatriated to Zambia, ensuring royalties are paid to the Zambian government, reflecting the company’s commitment to its operational regions.
