Geely Reports Surge in July Sales, Proton Sees Dip

Geely Automobile Holdings (HK:0175) has released an update.

Geely Automobile Holdings Limited reported a 13% year-over-year increase in vehicle sales for July 2024, totaling 150,782 units, with significant gains in their electric and hybrid models. The growth is attributed to strong performance across the brand’s range, including a notable 397% increase in Galaxy sales and a 67% increase in export sales. However, Proton, in which Geely holds a 49.9% stake, saw a 3% decline in sales compared to the same period last year.
