Gateley (Holdings) PLC successfully passed all but one resolution at their recent AGM, with the rejected resolution 9 pertaining to the amendment of the Company’s articles to allow virtual AGMs. Outgoing Chairman Nigel Payne expressed frustration at the failure of resolution 9, citing environmental benefits and higher shareholder engagement with virtual meetings. He criticized certain shareholders for following unregulated proxy advice without company consultation.
