Fortescue’s Historic Green Fleet Expansion

Fortescue Metals Group Ltd (AU:FMG) has released an update.

Fortescue Metals Group Ltd has expanded its partnership with Liebherr to develop one of the world’s largest zero-emission mining fleets, investing US$2.8 billion to purchase nearly 475 green machines, including autonomous battery electric trucks and excavators. This move is a significant step towards Fortescue’s goal of achieving zero Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030. The partnership is not only a historic deal for both companies but also a major leap in the mining industry’s transition away from fossil fuels.
