Flutter Entertainment PLC has announced the strategic acquisition of Snaitech S.p.A., a leading Italian omni-channel operator, for €2.3 billion, a move that is expected to significantly enhance Flutter’s market share and create shareholder value in Europe’s largest gambling market. The deal, slated to close by Q2 2025, is anticipated to be immediately accretive to earnings and will strengthen Flutter’s ‘local hero’ brand portfolio while delivering at least €70 million in operating cost synergies. This acquisition underpins Flutter’s commitment to invest in international markets and is consistent with their strategy for value-creating mergers and acquisitions.
