Evergrande Subsidiary Faces Bankruptcy Proceedings

China Evergrande Group (HK:3333) has released an update.

China Evergrande Group, currently in liquidation, announced the Guangzhou Intermediate People’s Court’s acceptance of a bankruptcy liquidation application for its subsidiary, Guangzhou Kailong. Creditors are advised to declare their claims ahead of the first creditors meeting scheduled for November 14, 2024. Meanwhile, trading of the company’s shares remains suspended indefinitely, prompting a cautionary note to shareholders and potential investors.
