Euglena Announces $1.3 Billion Malaysia Biorefinery

Euglena Co., Ltd. has announced a final investment decision on a $1.3 billion biorefinery project in Malaysia, a joint venture with PETRONAS and Eni. The facility will focus on producing Sustainable Aviation Fuel and Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, utilizing a variety of feedstocks including used vegetable oils and microalgae. Operations are expected to commence in the second half of 2028 with an annual production capacity of up to 725,000 kiloliters of biofuels.
