Equinox Gold (ASE) (TSE:EQX) has released an update.
Equinox Gold Corp. has reported a geotechnical event at its Aurizona mine in Brazil, caused by persistent heavy rains leading to material displacement. While there were no injuries or environmental harm, mining operations have been temporarily halted for safety assessments and remediation planning. Nevertheless, the company is maintaining gold production using the ore stockpile and is planning to expedite mining at the new Tatajuba pit to counteract potential production delays.
