Ecopetrol SA (EC) has released an update.
Ecopetrol S.A. has solidified its leadership team with the permanent appointment of Juan Carlos Hurtado Parra as the Vice President of the Upstream segment, effective from October 1. Hurtado Parra, an experienced electrical engineer with a 27-year tenure in the energy sector, is expected to drive the company’s reserve growth, decarbonization efforts, and strengthen its gas portfolio. Ecopetrol, a leading integrated energy company in the Americas, aims to continue its dominance in Colombia’s energy production and expand its international presence.
