Designer Brands Strengthens Board with New Independent Director

The latest update is out from Designer Brands (DBI).

Designer Brands Inc. has expanded their Board of Directors, adding a new Class III director position and appointing John Atkinson, a seasoned professional with a background as an Audit Partner at KPMG, to fill the role. Atkinson’s term will extend until the 2025 Annual Meeting of Shareholders. He’ll also join the Audit Committee and Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee, receiving standard compensation for non-employee directors, including an initial award of restricted stock units. His appointment is independent, with no disclosed familial or business conflicts.
