Delta Air Lines is taking legal action against CrowdStrike and Microsoft seeking at least $500 million in damages after a significant outage on July 19, 2024, led to 7,000 flight cancellations over five days. The incident caused substantial operational and financial setbacks, including an estimated $380 million in direct revenue impact and $170 million in non-fuel expenses for recovery efforts.
