Corsa Coal Reports Q1 Loss Amid Revenue Dip

Corsa Coal (TSE:CSO) has released an update.

Corsa Coal Corp., a metallurgical coal producer, has reported a net loss of $8.2 million for the first quarter of 2024, a significant downturn from the $1.9 million income in the same period last year. The loss per share stood at $0.08, compared to earnings of $0.02 per share in 2023, amidst a decrease in total revenue from $47.9 million to $36.0 million. These results come despite the company’s sales of metallurgical coal reaching 220,070 tons, with an average realized price equivalent to $270 to $282 per metric ton on an FOB vessel basis.
