Commonwealth Bank Reports Solid Dividend Despite NPAT Dip

Commonwealth Bank of Australia (AU:CBA) has released an update.

The Commonwealth Bank of Australia has reported a decrease in net profit after tax (NPAT), citing volume growth despite reduced margins and increased operating expenses due to inflation. The bank’s strong balance sheet allowed a generous fully franked dividend of $4.65 per share, with a payout ratio of 79% of cash NPAT. Despite economic pressures, the bank highlights its commitment to customer support, robust credit practices, and solid liquidity and funding ratios.
