Cobalt Blue Holdings Ltd. has engaged Tetra Tech for engineering works on its pioneering Cobalt-Nickel Refinery in Western Australia, marking a key milestone in creating Australia’s first cobalt sulphate refinery. The project, set to cater to battery makers and EV manufacturers with compliant high-quality materials, aims for initial production of 3,000 tonnes of cobalt and 500 tonnes of nickel annually, with potential future expansion. With current workstreams on track, the company anticipates a construction decision in the second half of 2024.
