Coats Group plc, a global leader in industrial thread manufacturing, has announced the planned departure of Group Chief Executive Rajiv Sharma by the end of 2024 after a successful 14-year tenure. David Paja, formerly CEO of GKN Aerospace, has been appointed as Sharma’s successor, set to take over in October 2024. Sharma’s leadership has been marked by Coats’ listing on the London Stock Exchange, entry into the FTSE 250, and a focus on B2B and sustainability-driven growth.
