Cirrus Aircraft Limited has announced that its subsidiary, Cirrus Design, has been purchasing extended warranties from Continental for the engines used in its aircraft, following customer requests. The total purchase amount during the relevant period reached US$3,601,050. These transactions are considered connected transactions under the Hong Kong Stock Exchange’s Listing Rules due to the relationship between Cirrus, Continental, and AVIC, a substantial shareholder of Cirrus. While these transactions require reporting and announcement, they are exempt from circular and independent shareholders’ approval requirements.
