CI Financial Corp. successfully completed a substantial issuer bid, buying back 2,157,201 shares at $18.25 each, totaling about $39.37 million. This repurchase amounts to 1.48% of their outstanding shares, leaving 143,545,084 shares remaining. Shareholders who sold their shares back to the company will receive an ‘eligible dividend’ for Canadian tax purposes.
