Chorus Limited Faces Commission’s Expenditure Cuts

Chorus Limited (CHRUF) has released an update.

The Commerce Commission has proposed slashing Chorus Limited’s operating and capital expenditure for the 2025-2028 period, approving significantly lower amounts than the company’s request. Chorus has expressed disappointment, particularly regarding the operating expenditure reduction, and plans to submit a detailed review highlighting the impact on consumer outcomes. A final decision from the Commission is expected in the third quarter of 2024, with a draft decision on maximum allowable revenue to follow in the fourth quarter.
