China Construction Bank Bolsters Capital with New Bonds

China Construction Bank (HK:0939) has released an update.

China Construction Bank has successfully completed the issuance of its second tranche of 2024 domestic Tier-2 capital bonds, raising RMB50 billion to boost its tier-2 capital base. The newly issued bonds are split into two types, with a 10-year fixed rate at 2.21% and a 15-year fixed rate at 2.37%, both offering conditional redemption rights. This strategic move aims to enhance the bank’s capital structure in compliance with regulatory requirements.
