Centrica PLC has announced the purchase of over 6 million of its own shares on October 4, 2024, with the shares to be held as treasury shares. This buyback is part of an ongoing programme, with the company having acquired over 33 million shares since August 8, 2024, at a cost of around £40 million. Following this transaction, the total number of Centrica’s treasury shares has reached nearly 467 million.
