Centrica PLC has recently executed a share buyback, purchasing 7,734,472 of its own shares on 9 October 2024 at a volume weighted average price of 117.6300 pence per share, which will now be held as treasury shares. This move, part of a buyback program initiated on 8 August 2024, brings the total number of shares bought back to 56,547,803, costing £67,478,830.01, excluding associated costs. After this transaction, Centrica has 490,802,046 shares in treasury and 5,167,305,168 shares in issue excluding those held in treasury.
