Centrica PLC has recently bought back 7,952,985 of its own shares at a price of 116.5800 pence per share, with these shares now held as treasury shares. This move is part of a larger buyback programme initiated on 8 August 2024, during which the company has acquired nearly 49 million shares at a cost of over £58 million. Following the transaction, Centrica PLC’s treasury holds over 483 million shares, with a total of over 5 billion shares in issue.
