Centrica plc has continued its share buyback program, purchasing 2,876,553 of its own shares on 10 October 2024 through Goldman Sachs International, with the shares to be held as treasury stock. Since the beginning of the program on 8 August 2024, the company has acquired a total of 59,424,356 shares, spending over £70 million. Following this recent transaction, Centrica plc’s treasury shares count has risen to 493,678,599, with an overall 5,164,428,615 shares in issue excluding those held in treasury.
