Centrica (GB:CNA) has released an update.
Centrica PLC has continued its share repurchase strategy by acquiring 2,038,000 of its own shares at a volume weighted average price of 135.8240 pence each, which will be retained as treasury shares. This move is part of the company’s 2023-2024 share buyback program initiated last October, bringing the total number of shares bought back since then to nearly 282 million, at a cost of over £391 million. Following the transaction, the total number of treasury shares held by Centrica stands at over 524 million.
