Carrefour Advances Renewable Energy Goals

Carrefour (FR:CA) has released an update.

Carrefour has announced a partnership with GreenYellow to install photovoltaic panels on the car parks of nearly 350 of its stores in France, as part of its commitment to renewable energy and its Carrefour 2026 sustainability plan. The initiative aims to produce 1 TWh of solar energy annually across France, Spain, and Brazil by 2027, contributing to Carrefour’s goal of using 100% renewable electricity by 2030. This move is expected to significantly reduce energy costs, improve customer satisfaction, and generate additional income through surplus energy production.
