Brookfield Renewable Corporation and Microsoft have announced a landmark five-year agreement to develop over 10.5 gigawatts of new renewable energy, marking a significant contribution to Microsoft’s 2030 zero carbon energy goals. The collaboration aims to decarbonize energy supplies, with the capacity to expand renewable energy projects across the U.S., Europe, Asia-Pacific, India, and Latin America. This unprecedented deal, nearly eight times larger than any previous individual corporate power purchase agreement, positions Brookfield to support the surging demand for electricity in the digital and AI-driven global economy.
