Brookfield Asset Management reports a robust start to 2024 with a $20 billion capital raise in the first quarter and $106 billion in dry powder, signaling strong investment capacity. The company has also expanded its insurance and private credit offerings, including a $50 billion mandate with AEL and a pending majority stake acquisition in Castlelake. Despite these strategic moves, distributable earnings remained stable at $547 million for the quarter compared to the previous year.
