This upgrade comes on the heels of Brookfield’s acquisition of American Equity Investment Life Holding Company, resulting in increased ratings for senior bonds and preferred shares. Fitch Ratings also raised its ratings for the company’s senior unsecured notes and preferred shares, underscoring the positive outlook for Brookfield Reinsurance’s financial instruments.
