Brookfield Reinsurance Ltd. has announced the scheduled hearing date for its acquisition of American Equity Investment Life Holding Company on April 5, 2024, with the expectation to finalize the deal shortly after. The acquisition is aimed at establishing AEL as a leader in the U.S. annuity markets, benefiting stakeholders, the Des Moines community, and AEL’s policyholders and employees.
