British American Tobacco (GB:BATS) has released an update.
British American Tobacco PLC has reported the acquisition of 180,000 of its own ordinary shares as part of its share buyback program, with the shares slated for cancellation. The buyback, executed through UBS AG, saw shares purchased at prices ranging from 2471.00p to 2506.00p, averaging 2488.0430p per share. After this transaction, the company’s total shares in issue (excluding treasury shares) will stand at 2,219,265,239.
