Braskem SA (BAK) has released an update.
Shares of Braskem S.A. fell by over 2% following reports that former Finance Minister Guido Mantega was approached by the government to join the company’s board, a move he stated he would accept if approved by shareholders. In response to a request for clarification from the Securities and Exchange Commission of Brazil, Braskem stated that it was not aware of such information and confirmed the election of board members had already occurred during the Annual General Meeting on April 29, 2024.
