BOOKOFF GROUP HOLDINGS LIMITED has announced the formation of a Special Investigation Committee to look into irregularities involving fictitious transactions and improper inventory recording at subsidiary stores, which has led to the postponement of their FY2024/5 financial results announcement. The committee, comprising external legal and accounting experts, aims to investigate and prevent future occurrences, with the new report date to be announced later. The company has also planned store inventory checks, which may temporarily close stores, and is assessing the financial impact of these issues.
