BlackBerry Announces CFO Transition and New Financial Leadership

BlackBerry (BB) has shared an update.

BlackBerry Limited is undergoing a significant transition in its financial leadership, with CFO Steve Rai set to depart to explore new opportunities. Tim Foote will take over as the new CFO starting July 29, 2024, after having been with the company since 2015 and holding key financial roles. Foote’s promotion comes with an enhanced compensation package, including an increased salary and a mix of vested and performance-based restricted share units. Additionally, Jay Chai has been appointed as the new Chief Accounting Officer, a role he will assume on the same date as Foote’s appointment. Both appointments are part of the company’s ongoing strategy and are not a result of any internal disagreements or related party transactions.
